The late day sun and very cold temperature give this view a soft appearance with the mist rising from the valleys. Mount Timpanogos is to the right behind the Jordanelle Reservoir. The view is from Route 248 between Park City and Kamas, Utah.
Mount Timpanogos, often referred to as Timp, is the second highest mountain in Utah's Wasatch Range. Timpanogos rises to an elevation of 11,752 ft. above sea level in the Uinta Wasatch Cache National Forest.
The Jordanelle Reservoir is in Wasatch County, Utah, just north of Heber City. Jordanelle Reservoir is fed and drained primarily by the Provo River. The reservoir is in a jordanelle State Park in Utah.
